On 11 October, an event was held in Munich, Germany, to promote “Destination Monaco.” This event was organised by Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC), and brought together more than a hundred tourism professionals from the Bavarian capital.
Tour Operators and travel agents, as well as bloggers and congressional decision-makers, were all invited to Prater Island, a particularly prestigious venue in this region.
Two separate workshops were held at this event: one was dedicated to Business Tourism and the other to Leisure Tourism. All the participants were then invited to a gala dinner entertained by the magician “Lucca.”
In addition, many players in the Principality’s tourism market, such as Monte-Carlo SBM, the Méridien Beach Plaza and the Monacair company, had an opportunity to give a presentation of Monaco’s commercial assets to an audience of attentive decision-makers, who will be able to offer Monaco as a destination to Bavarian customers in the future.
At this evening event , the Director of the DTC, Guillaume Rose, and his Monegasque and German staff, were supported by Monaco’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Ms. Isabelle Berro-Amadei.
Finally, it should be recalled that the German market is the 7th largest in terms of visitors to hotels in the Principality, with an average of 37,438 overnight stays per year; Bavaria is the German region with the highest number of visitors to the Principality.
