Ambassador Henri Fissore has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grimaldi Forum and will succeed Jean Pastorelli, Minister Plenipotentiary, who has held this position since 2011.
A graduate of ESSEC and Sciences Po in Paris, a former ENA student, 64 years old, married and father of two children, Henri Fissore has worked in the Monegasque Public Service for 37 years.
He was General Director of the Department of the Interior and then Inspector General of the Administration before becoming a member of the Government twice (Government Advisor for Finance and Economy and then for External Relations).
He has also served as Ambassador to Italy, Japan, Australia and Portugal, and has completed his administrative career as Ambassador on mission to the Minister of State, in charge in particular of issues related to business appeal. Henri Fissore was also National Councillor (parliamentary).
His extensive experience in the functioning of Monaco’s institutions, particularly in the field of economic development, and his international vision constitute an expertise which he intends to bring to the Grimaldi Forum.
Inaugurated in 2000, the Grimaldi Forum is headed by Sylvie Biancheri, General Manager, and welcomes each year a little more than a hundred events, the vast majority of which is business tourism (congresses, conferences, and professional events). Every year, it organises a major summer exhibition and international level shows. It is not only an iconic spot for hosting business people of all industries to the Larvotto area, but also a place for the arts. Ballets, Operas, and philharmonic orchestras have all played here, making it a premiere venue for cultural events for the people of Monaco and the surrounding areas to enjoy. Fissore will surely bring his talents to furthering the already grand reputation of this venue.
The Grimaldi Forum looks forward to continued good fortune in the future with Henri Fissore as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
