This weekend Monaco hosts many diverse sports events. You can participate or watch, just don’t sit at home.
Beautiful sailing in Monaco Bay will attract a lot of viewers and participants: last year over 60 Melges 20 and J/70 teams came in Monaco to take part in Sportsboat Winter Series, organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco. Come and watch yourself from Friday 9 December to Sunday 11 December in Monaco Bay.
Stade Louis II will host two martial arts events: 23rd Monaco International Judo Tournament on Sunday 11 December and Jujitsu Open on Saturday 10 December.
If you like running come participate in “U Giru de Natale” (10 km circuit in Monaco) on Sunday 11 December. It is the ultimate running of Monaco open to all, with routes suitable for young and old. Each year, more than 2000 athletes meet to pace the circuit of the Grand Prix and the magnificent streets of Monaco. It is a unique gathering under the sign of the festivity not to be missed!
Another important event of this weekend is the beginning of Choreographic performance organized by the Monaco Dance Forum that start on Saturday 10 December and will run every day till 21 December. If you want to more about scheduled performances, check your Calendar.
If you are keen on classical music and opera than there is something for you too: Maria Stuarda in the Monte-Carlo Opera.
Monaco is still preparing for Christmas. There is an Exhibition of Christmas Trees that will finish with an auction sale of Christmas Trees in aid of the Action Innocence Association on December 10. Exhibition of nativity scenes from all over the world was launched at the end of the week.
And don’t forget that an open-air skating rink, Christmas Village and Christmas Market are ready to welcome you in Monaco Port.
