Weekend in Monaco with #hello_monaco

This weekend in Monaco has a lot of events to offer: from Venice in Monte-Carlo to sailing competitions. If only there were more than 24 hours in a day to have time to enjoy everything.

You can begin your weekend in Monaco Port where throughout the weekend will unfold sailing competitions: Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series (Act IV), organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco from Friday 2 February to Sunday 5 February.

After the success of the 3rd edition, which last year attracted 60-plus Melges 20 and J/70 teams, the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2016-2017 is back to liven up the waters off the Principality this winter. Divided into five Acts scheduled once a month from October 2016 to March 2017, these regattas are designed to give experienced professional and amateur crews a chance to prepare at the highest level for the upcoming season’s big meetings.

But there are two other sports events that deserve your attention that is a football match between AS MONACO and OGC NICE that are playing in French League 1, Day 23 on Saturday 4 February at 5.00 pm in Stade Louis II. Later this day another match, this time AS Monaco and Le Portel are playing in PRO A Basketball Championship at 8.00 pm in Stade Louis II – Salle Omnisports Gaston Médecin.

Another notable event  is the 6th Circus Competition for Young Artists called “New Generation” presented by the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival on Saturday 4 February at 2.30 and 7.00 pm and Sunday 5 February at 3.00 pm in Espace Fontvieille.

New Generation is the Circus competition for young Artists. International acts including acrobats, clowns and animals will competing for the Gold Junior, Silver Junior and Bronze Junior. The jury will be composed of young personalities of the international circus scene under the presidency of Pauline, daughter of HSH Princess Stephanie.

The musical part of the weekend consists of beautiful performance Starring Cecilia Bartoli and Les Musiciens du Prince, La Cenerentola, a coproduction with the Monte Carlo Opera on 04 and 07 February 2017, at 8 p.m. Picked by Rossini in twenty four days only, The Cenerentola is a delicious masterpiece where the screw comica never masks the emotion which appears.

Great Season Series: symphonic concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jean-Claude Casadesus with Nikolaï Lugansky, piano and Olivier Vernet, organ on Sunday 5 February, at 6 pm in Auditorium Rainier III – Salle Yakov Kreizberg. With Dmitri Shostakovich, Sergei Rachmaninov and Camille Saint-Saëns on the programme. As a prelude to the concert at 5 pm, introduction to the works by André Peyrègne.

Another very interesting unique event that will last all the way through weekend is Venice in Monte-Carlo and The Grand Ball of Venice on the theme of Love. On Saturday, 4 February 2017 7.30 p.m. at the Salle des Etoiles, you’ll see UNICEF ambassador and lyrical soprano Ms Delia Grace Noble at The Grand Venetian Masquerade Ball on the theme of Love, a magnificent ball where costumes, acrobats, musicians and instrumentalists set the mood for a fun-filled, magical evening.

Part of the profits will be donated to a charity organization of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco’s choice, and the rest will be given to Monaco’s International School of the Arts. Prices start at €600.

And what about kids? For them there is a creative workshop “ECO-BRICO” in Stars’n’Bars with free admission. Creation of mosaic vegetale, masks, music instruments, textile accessories and story telling.

Also on Saturday 4 February, at 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm in Théâtre des Muses there is a Shows for children: “Fairy Sidonie and the Magic of Travelling” by M. André.

A new fairy was born in the Kingdom … but without wings! To realize the wishes of little humans, it must however find a way to move to the Earth and to travel there! To help her, her friend Fairy Sidonie goes on Earth in search of the 1001 ways of travel invented by humans. What if you come to help her? Tickets are available at €14-€16.

And for adults theater Théâtre des Muses offers “Figaroh!”, a comedy and musical show with Carine Martin, Mathias Glayre and Léana Durney, sopranos, Davide Autieri, baritone and Lucas Buclin, piano on Saturday 4 February, at 9 p.m., Sunday 5 February, at 4.30 pm.

Opera or theater, why choose? “Figaroh! “Is a hilarious confrontation between lyrical singers and comedians. After the opera by Mozart “Les noces de Figaro” and the play by Beaumarchais “The marriage of Figaro”, here comes the time of “Figaroh! “, a joyful union of the two works.

And once again Electric radio-controlled cars on the open-air skating rink, organised by Monaco City Hall, in partnership with the Monegasque Model Vehicles Federation and the MC Clic company on Sunday 5 February, from 8 am to 12 pm.
