Weekend in Monaco with #hello_monaco

This weekend in Monaco is all about sports: sailing and dance competitions, basketball, football games and skating on the open-air rink. More about all these events read here.

It starts on Friday January 13 with the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series: MELGES 20 – Act 4 and J/70 – Act 3. After the success of the 3rd edition, which last year attracted 60-plus Melges 20 and J/70 teams, the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series 2016-2017 is back to liven up the waters off the Principality this winter. Divided into five Acts scheduled once a month from October 2016 to March 2017, these regattas are designed to give experienced professional and amateur crews a chance to prepare at the highest level for the upcoming season’s big meetings. It’s going to be a beautiful and colorful weekend in Monaco Bay!

On Saturday AS Monaco and Nanterre are playing in PRO A Basketball Championship  on Sunday 14 January at 6.30 pm in Stade Louis II – Salle Omnisports Gaston Médecin.

Also there will be 2nd “Trophée du Rocher” (Rock Trophy) in sports dance competition organised by the A.S.M. Danse Sportive on  Saturday in Espace Léo Ferré. This year, 130 pairs from all over Europe will compete for the grand prize. The event brings together dancers of all ages, starting at the age of six. They will perform traditional programs (European and Latin American), which will include ten different dances.

On Sunday January 15 at 9 pm there will be a football match between OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE and AS MONACO in French League 1, Day 20 for those who is ready to travel or happened to be in Marseille.

Another event that might interest you is the celebration of the Russian New Year with a Concert and Dinner in Café de Paris on Friday, January 13 at 8.30 pm: on the theme of “Russia! My Love!” with the Soloists of Monte-Carlo conducted by Jean-Louis Dedieu, in aid of the Maison d’Amélie, organised by the United Republic of Art.

For music lovers on Saturday there will a show by Jil Aigrot, the voice of Piaf in the film (“La Môme”) (English title “La Vie en Rose”) organised by the Draw a Butterfly Association at 8.30 pm Auditorium Rainier III.
