It’s Friday evening which means it’s high time to make plans for the weekend, not to mention that many people considere beginning of autumn the best time of the year.
In the center of this weekend is the traditional Monegasque picnic “U Cavagnëtu” bringing together Monegasques around the Princely family, held at Princess Antoinette Park on September 9th.
Just before the start of the school year, the last holiday weekend will be an opportunity for the national community to meet for the traditional Monegasque picnic.
The program remains typical: first a religious ceremony from 6 p.m., then a large buffet of local specialties to share in conviviality. It’s time to unpack your picnic basket in the paths of the park for a country dinner with family or friends.
This weekend you can also enjoy the traditional YCM Marina Concert, a unique event in collaboration with the Ferretti Group, Maneskin in Monaco, which will be held on 9th September 2023.
Show: Roman Frayssinet will be on stage of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco on Saturday 9 September 2023, at 8.30 pm.
After his first tour attracted over 100,000 spectators, the comedian – who made his breakthrough on TV show Clique – is back in 2023 with the first part of a trilogy of shows. “Ô Dedans” is a hilarious and surrealist journey in which Roman Frayssinet explores inner life, from the most superficial aspects to the deepest and most intimate feelings.
And on Sunday 10th Vintage Cars Rally with the theme the 1920s, Charleston, organized by the Child Care Monaco, will come roaring through the streets of Monaco.
Education… an everlasting gift.
You can also visit numerous exhibitions, for example “Rainier III, The Builder Prince – An ambition for Monaco” opened as part of the Prince Rainier III centenary celebrations. It will welcome visitors from till Sunday 31 December 2023 in Salle d’Exposition du Quai Antoine Ier.
There are many interesting exhibitions opened in Monaco to mark the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III: exhibition “Prince Rainier III, above all a sailor”, “The Prince and his animals”, Path of the Prince Rainier III sculptures, exhibition “The Prince at home”.

Meet the prehistorian prince, the scientist and explorer, and trace the history of his archaeological expeditions. From the Grimaldi caves to Spain, from the founding of the Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology to the Paris Institute of Human Paleontology, visitors will follow the incredible journey and archaeological ideas of a fascinating, and fascinated Prince.
Nouveau Musée National de Monaco invites you to see its new exhibition “George Condo – Humanoids” open from Friday 31 March to Sunday 1 October 2023, in Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Paloma.
For George Condo, “the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person’s inner emotions to the surface”. Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.
Of course there are other interesting events taking place in Monaco. If you want to learn more about them visit our Calendar.
So have fun and enjoy your weekend!
