This weekend in Monaco is about sports and arts. If you haven’t made any plans yet here are a few suggestions for you.
To begin with there is 3rd Monaco International Hereditary Prince Jacques Petanque Challenge, is organized by the Monegasque Boules Federation under the high patronage of Prince Albert II, on October 9 and 10, 2021 at the Rainier III Boulodrome.
Participation fee: € 30 for a team
Limited to 256 teams
On Sunday there is Betclic Elite basketball championship: Monaco – Le Mans on 10 October 2021, at 5 pm on Stade Louis II – Salle Omnisports Gaston Médecin.
Music lovers will enjoy the Grand Season Series: Symphonic concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Ton Koopman with Sibylle Duchesne, violin, Delphine Perrone, cello, Matthieu Petitjean, oboe and Arthur Menrath, bassoon on Sunday 10 October 2021, at 3 pm in Opéra de Monte-Carlo – Salle Garnier. On the program: music by Christoph Willibald Gluck, Joseph Haydn, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Lectures on the theme “The Empress Eugenie, friend and neighbor of the Principality of Monaco”: on Saturday 9 October 2021, in Opéra de Monte-Carlo – Salle Garnier.
3 pm: Lecture with Maxime Michelet, President of the Friends of Napoleon III and doctoral student in history, Éric Anceau, HDR lecturer at the Sorbonne, Thomas Blanchy, PhD student in history, principal administrator at the Archives and at the Library of the Prince’s Palace.
4.30 pm: Lecture with Yves Bruley, Senior Lecturer at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Éric Mension-Rigau, Professor at the Sorbonne, Alain Bottaro, Chief Heritage Curator, Director of the Antibes Municipal Archives, Michel Steve, Architect, doctor in art history, Laurent Stéfanini, Ambassador of France in Monaco, organized by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Monaco.
From October 5th to 16th, the Monaco Disease Power association is organising, in collaboration with the Galerie Moretti, an exhibition called «Regards d’ailleurs» to support people with mental disabilities or autism.
