Spring is already on our door step so let’s plan your weekend and get the most of it with all the winter festivals, theatre, opera, sports events and much more.

Le monde selon Albert Einstein (The world according to Albert Einstein) will be on stage of Theatre des Muses on Saturday 1 March at 5 pm and Sunday 2 March at 11 am.
Albert Einstein is an unusual boy. My name is Albert Einstein. I turned 9 and 3/4 exactly 3 days, 5 hours, and 46 minutes ago. The thing I enjoy most is playing with numbers: dividing, multiplying, juggling with square roots and hyperbolas at light speed. But at school, the teacher and my classmates make fun of me, because I get my words jumbled up.

Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo (Spring Arts Festival) is held this year from Sunday 2 March to Sunday 27 April 2025, in the Principality of Monaco.
The Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo 2025 Festival will celebrate the centenary of Pierre Boulez, a leading figure in the world of contemporary music, who pioneering work and worldwide influence will be explored through a series of concerts, screenings, and performances. The Festival will also showcase the artistic connections between Boulez and painter Francis Bacon. Six of Bacon’s paintings, created around the time the two men met in Paris, illustrate the themes of human fragility and time and reflect on the ways in which music and painting each inspire the other. The dialogue between two of the 20th century’s great cultural geniuses is a unique immersion in their artistic world.

Opéra de Monte-Carlo presents “Tristan and Isolde” Act II on Sunday 2 March 2025, at 6 pm, in Auditorium Rainier III.
Opéra de Monte-Carlo, 2024/25 season. Concert. Conductor: Philippe Jordan. Tristan: Andreas Schager. Isolde: Anja Kampe. Music and libretto by Richard Wagner (1813-1883). First performed: Munich, Royal Bavarian Court Theatre, 10 June 1865. Prelude: Adagio from Symphony No. 10 in F-sharp major (c. 1910 – unfinished) by Gustav Mahler (1860-1911). En collaboration avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo et en prélude au Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo.

Ligue 1 French Football Championship: AS Monaco – Stade de Reims is held on Sunday 2 March 2025 on Stade Louis II.
It is the last weekend for winter festivals this year. So if you haven’t seen them yet, then this is your last chance.

The arrival of spring in Nice is unimaginable without its traditional carnival and flower parade taking place from February 15 to March 2. Its 2025 theme is “The King of Oceans” with the most colourful scenery, huge inflatable sculptures, live music and tons of confetti. Are you ready to take part in its fragrant battle of flowers? Or enjoy a scenic night “Corso” parade? Then head to Masséna Square in Nice and get ready for tons of fun.

Menton and lemons are inseparable. Not only is this fragrant fruit cultivated in the city, but the annual festival featuring giant lemon and orange sculptures seems to bring them to life. The Lemon Festival in Menton traditionally hosts fruit parades, light shows, street animations and fairs. Held from February 15 to March 2, its 2025 theme is “Journey(s) to the stars”.

There are several interesting exhibitions going on in Monaco these days. For example, discover the new monographic exhibition by Portuguese artist Francisco Tropa, specially conceived for the Villa Paloma and featuring a previously unseen selection of sculptures, drawings, films and light projections.
The exhibition takes its names from pietre paesine (imaged stones), whose geological designs are evocative of painted landscapes, on the boundary of figuration and abstraction. This idea of an analogy between nature and technique is at the heart of Francisco Tropa’s work, which focuses on the conditions of appearance and perception of an image.
The Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology is delighted to invite you to discover its new temporary exhibition: The Butterfly Effect: The Pre-History of Animals, organised under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. Explore whole rooms themed to the animal kingdom and biodiversity, and take a fascinating journey through archaeology and our natural history! It is open until Monday 1 December 2025, from 9 am to 6 pm in Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique.
Of course there are other interesting events taking place in Monaco. If you want to learn more about them visit our Calendar.
So have fun and enjoy your weekend!
