You can start your weekend watching beautiful horses compete in equestrian contest. Port Hercule has been transformed into an equestrian course for the Jumping International de Monte-Carlo from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 July 2024. For over 15 years, this essential event has been bringing the world’s top riders to the Principality, nestled below the ramparts of the Prince’s Palace.
Then you can continue with the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, the leading meeting for new technologies and alternative energy sources, part of the Y.C.M.’s priority ambition to shape the future of yachting, held from Monday 1 to Saturday 6 July 2024 in Bay of Monaco. Created over ten years ago, the event brings together young engineers from schools and universities around the world, giving them the opportunity to collaborate with yachting industry stakeholders. In 2023, some 46 teams from 31 universities and 25 nations demonstrated the efficacy of their open source solutions.
The ambassador of Fight Aids Monaco this summer will be Stars 80, performing at the Salle des Étoiles within the framework of the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival 2024 and as part of their Encore! tour on Saturday 6 July 2024, at 8 pm. The 80s stars will be supporting the charity Fight Aids Monaco, this year marking its twentieth anniversary. Founded by H.S.H. Princess Stephanie in 2004, Fight Aids Monaco is a non-profit NGO that works in Monaco, the Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur region, and around the world through international cooperation initiatives.
La Note Bleue Summer Festival continues with Dele Sosimi, the Nigerian-British Afrobeat Ambassador, Musician and Educator on Friday 5 & Saturday 6 July 2024, at 9 pm. Having started his musical career with Fela’s Egypt 80 band in his teens, he then teamed up with childhood friend Fela’s son Femi Kuti (back in the late eighties) to kick start the Positive Force – touring, recording and performing worldwide. Over forty years later, he remains a tireless ambassador of this unique Nigerian sound travelling the world and performing at countless festivals. Afrobeat royalty in the house!
Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Monaco Art Week celebrates its 6th edition from Tuesday 2 to Sunday 7 July 2024, Principality of Monaco. Galleries, auction houses and art lovers are joining forces to offer a series of exhibitions across the Principality, punctuated by events, meetings with artists and conferences. Sculpture, painting, fine jewellery and other forms of creation will all be on show. Explore a dynamic and diverse cultural scene and browse through different artistic periods during this Monegasque art week.
8th edition of “artmonte-carlo”, the contemporary art, modern art and contemporary design fair is held from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 July 2024, Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
A new exhibition opens this Saturday 6 July and you have a chance to visit it till Sunday 1 September 2024, 10 am to 8 pm in the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, featuring an ensemble of leading works in a new scenography, will take visitors on a journey through Joseph Mallord William Turner’s sublime representations of our world, from his landscapes to the elementary explorations of light and atmosphere of which he was a pioneer and master. Turner’s decisive influence on painting, and by extension his legacy, will be highlighted in the exhibition through some interpretations of the sublime by leading contemporary artists. Curator: Elizabeth Brooke, Senior Project Curator at the Tate.
We are delighted to announce the new exhibition “Symphony of Colours” featuring the exceptional talents of three artists: Maja Kerin, Liudmila Sun, and Maria Mikileva. From June 20th to July 6th, from 10am to 6pm, come and discover in Espace 22 the works of these three inspired women from the Principality. Immerse yourself in a world of intriguing colors, where each canvas tells a unique story. A visual symphony that will enchant your senses and feed your artistic soul.
Exhibition: “Miquel Barceló, Oceanographer” started on Friday 7 June and will run till Sunday 13 October 2024 in Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Paloma.
Featuring a selection of around sixty works (paintings, ceramics, embroidery, works on paper), this exhibition is a chance to discover the prolific and eclectic creations of Miquel Barceló, a Spanish artist whose favourite subject was the sea.
Polar bears and emperor penguins are the protagonists of the exhibition “The Ice Giants” by Michel Bassompierre organized from Wednesday April 10 to Sunday October 6, 2024 in Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Seven monumental works will take over the Oceanographic Museum and its roof terrace. On this occasion, the sculptor will unveil five new creations: four polar bears as well as a 3-meter-high emperor penguin. Original drawings and sketches will also be exhibited accompanied by the screening of a film presenting the artist’s work. This temporary exhibition is part of the Polar Mission program run by the Oceanographic Institute since 2022.
Among many interesting exhibitions that are held in Monaco these days you can take a look at the exhibition at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Sauber (from March 29 till September 29), which looks at the influence of classical and contemporary painting on the films of Pier Paolo Pasolini. “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro” brings together a variety of work, including film clips, paintings, drawings, installations and photography from the 16th century till today. It finishes with works by other artists who paid tribute to Pasolini.
