The spotlight event of this weekend is without a doubt the 7th Monaco E-Prix, organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco, will take place this Saturday 27 April 2024, Principality of Monaco. The Monaco E-Prix 2024 will take place over a full day. With free practice, qualifying, the race itself, and an on-track demonstration, there’s plenty of action in store!
As part of the 12th edition of the Kids Cup Tournament bringing together more than 600 children over the weekend of April 27 and 28 from France and Navarre, there will be organized the Monaco Rugby Awards in parallel!
This opportunity will allow children from the Rugby School to be rewarded in the Youth, Hope, Women’s and 1st Team categories with the exceptional presence of the Sponsor of the Event: Maxime MERMOZ.
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will be on stage of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco with “TO THE POINT(E)” from Wednesday 24 to Saturday 27 April at 7.30 pm, and Sunday 28 April 2024 at 3 pm.
La Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo continues its season with TO THE POINT(E) by Wheeldon – Maillot – Eyal. A trio of pieces for a unique evening of dance: “To the Point(e)”. Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will perform three works, each of which calls upon the classically trained dancers to explore every ounce of their potential, yet always with a nod to the contemporary. Over the course of the evening, the audience will experience Christopher Wheeldon’s ‘Within the Golden Hour’, Jean-Christophe Maillot’s ‘Vers un Pays Sage’, and ‘Autodance’ by Sharon Eyal.
And music lovers will enjoy a “Recital” with Sergey Khachatryan, violin, and Alexandre Kantorow, piano with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday 28 April 2024, at 6 pm in Auditorium Rainier III. On the program music by BABADJANIAN, DEBUSSY, FRANCK, and MOZART.
Polar bears and emperor penguins are the protagonists of the exhibition “The Ice Giants” by Michel Bassompierre organized from Wednesday April 10 to Sunday October 6, 2024 in Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Seven monumental works will take over the Oceanographic Museum and its roof terrace. On this occasion, the sculptor will unveil five new creations: four polar bears as well as a 3-meter-high emperor penguin. Original drawings and sketches will also be exhibited accompanied by the screening of a film presenting the artist’s work. This temporary exhibition is part of the Polar Mission program run by the Oceanographic Institute since 2022.
Among many interesting exhibitions that are held in Monaco these days you can take a look at the exhibition at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Sauber (from March 29 till September 29), which looks at the influence of classical and contemporary painting on the films of Pier Paolo Pasolini. “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro” brings together a variety of work, including film clips, paintings, drawings, installations and photography from the 16th century till today. It finishes with works by other artists who paid tribute to Pasolini.
