Finally the long awaited Christmas weekend has arrived; it is great time to spend time with family and friends. HelloMonaco already put together some ideas on how to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s and here are some other events that will take place in the Principality over the weekend.
To get into the Christmas spirit go to the show on Ice – “Christmas Follies on Ice” on Saturday 23 December, at 5.30 pm on the Open air skating rink.
The Patin’air troupe has a new show called “Ice Christmas Madness”. The grace of the ice and the magic of the circus mingle to offer you an enchanting and wonderful show to discover with your family. Sliding, waterfall, mountain biking, aerobatics, magic, live music, elegance, fun, and of course Santa Claus will be at the rendezvous for the pleasure of young and old.
Another event that will surely create the right mood is the 3rd International Organ Festival — Christmas concert with Marc Giacone, organised by the In Tempore Organi Association on Sunday 24 December, at 5 pm Chapelle des Carmes.

However if you need more action and thrill don’t miss the PRO A Basketball Championship game between Monaco and Le Portel on Saturday 23 December at 7 pm Stade Louis II – Salle Omnisports Gaston Médecin.
Both kids and adults will enjoy “Planet Ocean” photographic exhibition by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, organised by the Monacology Association and MC.5 Communication from Wednesday 20 December to 5 January, Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
Price: 15€ – Salle Prince Pierre
And if you want to spend some time outdoors, go to the Christmas village in Port de Monaco. This year’s theme is “Father Christmas’s Workshops”. There are lots of fun things to do and to eat or drink and your kids can make a photo with Santa.
