The Stade Louis II or Louis II Stadium, originally built as the home of AS Monaco football team, now hosts many other matches like basketball, valley ball, fencing, boxing, judo, gymnastics, rugby and concerts. It has also become a venue for major athletic events such as the Herculis, a track and field meet of the Diamond League. Although it is known for its arches the vast majority of the stadium's facilities are located underground, including the Gaston-Médecin multi-sports centre and the Prince Albert II aquatic centre.
