The first Heart Day in Monaco

The Femmes Leaders Mondiales Monaco association chaired by Chantal Ravera is organizing the first Heart Day on 25 April at the Princess Grace Theater with the participation of several eminent cardiologists.

This day is part of the events and actions of the association to raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases from which women suffer. Just recently took place its annual gala. On Tuesday, the specialists will speak on various themes.

The day will be opened shortly after 10 a.m. by Doctor Christophe Robino, Government Advisor-Minister of Social Affairs and Health, in the presence of Doctor Armand Eker, cardiac surgeon and medical director of the Cardio-Thoracic Center. In the morning, presentations are expected from Professor Athul Pathak, head of the CHPG’s cardiology department, on risk factors, and from Professor Patrick Rossignol, head of the hospital’s Medical Specialties department, who will insist on the links between heart and kidney diseases. “When the heart is not well, neither is the kidney, and vice versa”, he used to say.

The afternoon will begin with a conference by Professor Martine Gilard, interventional cardiologist from the University Hospital of Brest and former president of the French Society of Cardiology, particularly known for the techniques she has developed for the management of the heart. women at the intervention level. A workshop is then planned on screening for high blood pressure before an intervention by Professor Ramzi Ashoush of Saint Joseph University in Beirut, on the particularities of heart surgery for women.
