Movie: “Chico and Rita”

Movie screening “Chico and Rita” is organized on Wednesday April 17, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., in Monaco Media Library – Louis Notari Library.

Spanish film director Fernando Trueba (also a Grammy Award-winning jazz producer) and Javier Mariscal, graphic designer and art director, have a lifelong passion for music. The idea for Chico & Rita was born from a meeting with the Cuban composer and pianist Bebo Baldès, a musician well known in Afro-Cuban jazz.
