Lecture: “The creation of the Institute of Human Palaeontology by Prince Albert I in 1910: a foundational act for global prehistory”, by Anna Echassoux, Director of the Institute of Human Palaeontology, Doctor of Palaeontology is organized on Wednesday 6 November 2024, at 6 pm in Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique.

A specialist in the relationship between the first Hominids and their animal environment, she has studied some of the oldest sites in Ethiopia, China, Georgia, and Southern Europe. In 2021, she became leader of the Fejej palaeoanthropological research project in south-west Ethiopia, a region key to our understanding of four million years of human evolution.
