Launch of Pink October

Under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Charlene, Pink Ribbon Monaco will light up Monaco in pink to launch the month of Pink October in the Principality on Friday 4th October 2024.

Pink Ribbon Monaco is reaffirming its commitment to the global breast cancer awareness campaign through its active support of Pink October. This year marks the 14th anniversary of the organisation’s ongoing efforts to promote early detection and breast cancer awareness in English and French.

On Friday, 4 October 2024, the Principality of Monaco will be lit up in pink for the fourteenth consecutive year, a tradition initiated locally by Pink Ribbon Monaco in 2011 to mark the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the region. Since then, Pink Ribbon Monaco has played a key role in introducing and promoting this global campaign to raise awareness of early detection of breast cancer in Monaco. Thanks to this pioneering initiative, almost 20 emblematic monuments, including the Prince’s Palace, the National Council, the Oceanographic Museum and the Casino de Monte-Carlo, will be lit up in pink for this noble cause.

The symbolic lighting will begin at 7.45 pm in the centre of Place du Casino
