Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo – Oenological meeting

On September 21 and 22, the sommeliers of the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo are organizing 2 oenological meetings around Port Wines. The Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo’s sommeliers invite you to an unparalleled experience with a story to tell, that of a passion for viticulture and sharing. They will open the doors of oenology for an introduction to all the subtilities of the world of wine and will transmit their passion to you.

The sommeliers are there to reveal all the secrets of these treasures, and to help you discover their “favourite” wines from these exceptional terroirs.

After the discovery of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sparkling wines, the fourth journey of our sommeliers will immerse you in the world of Port.

You will discover the different styles of Port, Tawny, Ruby, White, of this exceptional wine that has shaped the landscape of the Douro Valley for centuries and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

A fascinating journey into the world of this vineyard which claims the first appellation of origin.

These oenological rendez-vous will unfold with an intimate immersion in the rhythm of different stages: explanation of the basics, wine-making techniques, sound advice and tasting.

The experience continues with a dinner in the Lobby Bar restaurant with a selection of starters and dishes concocted by the chef Christophe Cussac, to finish in style with a perfect pairing.
