Exceptional concert by Uto Ughi and I Solisti Veneti on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 8 pm, Prince Pierre Hall – Grimaldi Forum Monaco.

Considered one of the great violinists of our time, Uto Ughi has shown extraordinary talent since a young age, becoming, at the age of 12, an “accomplished artist.” Uto Ughi plays with exceptional violins: a 1744 Guarneri del Gesu’ and a 1701 “Kreutzer” Stradivari. For this concert, he will play as a soloist and will, at the same time, lead the direction of the prestigious I Solisti Veneti orchestra. This orchestra, founded by Claudio Scimone, has received numerous international awards, such as the Los Angeles Grammy. This evening’s program will offer some of the most beautiful pieces of the repertory for violin and orchestra: Gaetano Pugnani: Preludio e Allegro maestoso, Camille Saint Saëns: Rondo’ capriccioso in La min. op.28, Ludwig van Beethoven: Romanza op.50, Tomaso Antonio Vitali: Ciaccona in Sol min, Niccolo’ Paganini: Concert for violin and orchestra n.2 Op.7 “La campanella.”
