The No Finish Line (NFL) event in Monaco, a remarkable fusion of athleticism and altruism, concluded its 24th edition on November 19, 2023, after eight days of continuous running and walking. This year, 10,428 dedicated participants collectively covered an impressive 315,561 kilometers, with each kilometer translating into a euro, amounting to €315,561. Transformative Contributions in Monaco

Monaco was a significant beneficiary of this year’s NFL funds. Children & Future donated €80,000 to the Monaco Humanitarian Collective (MCH), second only to contributions from the sovereign family. This donation will finance pediatric cardiac surgeries in Monaco and Africa, continuing a 15-year tradition that has already saved over 515 young lives.

Further, the Monaco Scientific Center received €20,000 to support clinical trials for a new treatment targeting pediatric brain tumors, initiated by the Flavien Foundation. Additionally, €9,242 was allocated for the purchase of a second tandem ski, enabling children with mobility impairments to experience skiing, an initiative overseen by the Monaco Ski Federation.

Expanding Support to France

The NFL’s charitable reach extended beyond Monaco into France, where €9,688 was directed to the Institut médico-éducatif les Hirondelles in Biot for a wheelchair-accessible swing. The Adrien Association in Pégomas received €8,000 to support its vacation centre for children undergoing chemotherapy and their families. Club Moana in Cagnes-sur-Mer also benefited from an €8,000 donation, which was used to purchase a compressor for scuba diving sessions for young people with special needs.

Global Outreach: Aiding Children Across Continents

The NFL’s impact is felt worldwide, with over €13,000 funding a greenhouse project in an Armenian school, ensuring food self-sufficiency. In Burkina Faso, €15,000 was donated to the Social Emergency Service, supporting street youth. Additionally, €13,850 was allocated to establish temporary schools and build earthen houses in Morocco following a devastating earthquake.

In Nepal, €15,000 was used to purchase computer equipment and educational games for the Jay Lord Buddha kindergarten in Bardiya. Another €5,000 provided insulating materials for schools in Pramod and Saru, helping children stay comfortable throughout the year.

A Legacy of Generosity and Hope

Since its inception, the No Finish Line event in Monaco has seen over 185,000 participants collectively cover more than 4.8 million kilometers, raising upwards of €5 million for children’s charities. As President of Children & Future, Ariane Favaloro, reflects, “Our motivation comes from seeing the happiness it brings them.” The next edition of this extraordinary event is set for November 16 to 24, 2024.
